Americans broken politics

President Barack Obama of the U.S. is facing lots of difficulties in effective governance. This is not easy to understand by the first glance.  President Obama hails from the Democrats party which holds the majority votes and power in the government but he faces stiff conflict in the implementation of the change policies and programs that the party had promised.  It is worth noting that as at now, important programs like the medical health care program, reforms in the financial systems, as well as the climate change policies that need to be changed are stalled despite the presidents popularity and his commanding party power.

The democrats party had about 84 approval vote for Obama while the Republican Party had only 18. The deliberation on sending 40,000 troops to Afghanistan had only 18 of the Democrats supported while Republicans support was 57. The American society is polarizing at an increasingly high rate if unchecked, will yield devastating results. A wide rift is developing along ethnicity, political and religious affiliations as well as economic status and citizenry such that the poor dont matching with the rich (Jeffrey, 2009).

In other words, American politics is taking rather a different direction from the expectations before the president came in to power. Policy making has now remained among the powerful corporations like the healthcare, automobile industries among others that are the stakeholders of the economy.  It is suspected that the high taxation is playing a major role in the divide because the majority of Americana do not support the heavy taxation imposed by the budget policy makers (Jeffrey, 2009).

In conclusion the divide may continue if not given a close scrutiny in terms of financial contributions. Attention is required in the analysis of opportunity cost in war expenditures and the security for the U.S.
