What is in a color

There are numeral dynamics that subtly defines a race. Such values as code of dressing, language, cultural practices, color, language as well ethnic mode of administration greatly influences how a race or a community is defined. For instance, each and every race or community has got its share of its unique attributes that sets it apart from others. Some of these attributes are viewed as obstacles in regard to racial, ethnic and individual relationship with others, and in such a scenario, an individual who does not accept these attributes is seen as an alien. Hence, my race defines my identity.

Characteristically, a race can be defined according to its ideological or economic orientation along the same principles regarding the ideas the given members of the race hold about themselves. However, as pertaining to race, skin color plays an integral part that more than often, creates a situation where separate human beings avoids getting along together. Basically, this situation is not attributed to social, political or economic aspects rather skin color significantly creates a border by which we see other individuals as different or primitive. Such as scenario is more evident in the way western countries treat blacks, for instance, racial discrimination is principally based on color, more than on economic aspects.

More so, color is the same fundamental aspect that propels a given race to be optimistic about its own survival.  Hence, a myriad of diverse but fundamental factors do encourage altruism as well as the individual contribution from its members. Therefore, loyalty and optimism are some of the attributes that are significantly reflected in the way members of any race behave and the color tends to be the defining denominator.

As a matter of fact, color can be said to be the greatest factor that propels or sets ethnic communities and individual apart it is an issue that makes distinct cultural entities to treat others differently.  Hence, this is normally ascribed to the fact that, despite race, language, religion and ethnic features, there are other wide circumstances which are anchored within aspect of races, such hair colors and physique. For example, a white can feel intimidated when asked to accommodate a Negroes, or as is the case of aborigines in Australia. Color contributes to a situation, where an individual develops hatred towards others just because they are different.

In 1884-1908 for the duration of the Congo massacre, King Leopold II spoke out in opposition to individuals who were not Whites, his attempts to use discrimination as medium of administration resulted in massive killing of blacks in Belgian Congo (Hochschild, 2002).  Therefore, race and color plays a tremendously role in the manner we segregate others and is a global obstacle. And this can be linked to the fact that, those who share almost similar color treats others as inferior, for example, whites treats Africans as inferior and primitive.

It is fundamental to argue that, politics, finance, language and religion cannot make a race to view others as different as it can due to color. This can be evidenced by the fact that, certain aspects of religion and politics, helps in developing a commonwealth that defines our racial identity. All in all, despite such observations, racial, cultural or communal loyalty dictates on the manner we get attached to our respectful races. More or less, this can be as a result of the dynamic commonness or the unique attachment created by the sharing of a common interest, challenge, ethnicity, religion or occupation. Thus, such elements as commitment, color, trust, solidarity and mutuality makes an individual experience an innate sense of belonging to his her race, and more so evolves to obstacles that stands between different races.

Hence, it instrumental to assert that color as an obstacle is a cardinal element that singularly separates individuals and equally communities. For instance, Wainaina (1) observed that when writing or discussing Africa, People means Africans who are not black, while The People means black Africans.  Therefore, it would be crucial to argue that, from such a situation, race and color are key obstacles that prevent separate people from getting along. Note that, the author have identified African with their color and this strongly defines how, in case of Africans relate with none Africans.

Another notable observation is from Hobbes who claimed that Such is the nature of men, that howsoever they may acknowledge many others to be wittier, or more eloquent, or more learned yet they will hardly believe there be many so wise as themselves (86). In regard to that statement, it is crucial that, color or race, will definitely determine who as accept and especially on color lines, hence Hobbes claim  yet they will hardly believe there be many so wise as themselves(86). Therefore, am convinced that, Hobbes would have equally accepted the fact that, color is a significant obstacles that makes separate human beings from getting along

Therefore in regard to racial and color attachment, Hobbes, accepts that, there are some basic natural rudiments that bringing men together while dispelling others. Reflecting on his position, it is instrumental to aver that, he principally accepts  the notion of  color as a concept that pulls  races to apart,  he adds Curiosity, or love of the knowledge of causes, draws a man from consideration of the effect to seek the cause, and then for the cause of that cause, (Hobbes, 72).

More so, these interests differ from race to race. Thus, what one community cherishes may be viewed as an abomination in another community. Nevertheless, Hochschild strongly asserts but in most intact, indigenous African societies, with their strong sense of extended family, clan ties, the concept of orphan hood in the European sense did not exist (132). This is an indication that, color creates a sense of compatibility to those who share same racial and color attributes. Note how he has separated the African and Europeans it is instrumental that, color cannot be ignored in as far as interracial relationships are concerned.

There are numeral factors that pulls individual together, be it politics, sports, economic sameness or ethnic bonds. However, men as social creatures are greatly influenced to get attached to specific believe either due to religion or cultural factors. Nevertheless, it is instrumental to assert that, color is also another determinant that influences how communities evolve.  Thus, it would be pivotal to assert that, what makes us to be obedient to the diverse racial categorization is our unique racial attributes such as language, ethnicity as well as religion.

All in all, racial characteristics, greatly influences individual or communal attachement, and this in principal fuels the innate obedient we have towards our culture. I am of opinion that, despite racial attributes our ethnic aspects of living which includes lifestyles and ethnic sameness are pivotal elements in as far we are obedient racial differences.  Therefore, I believe that, as individuals we follow the fundamental aspects enshrined within our races. No matter ones destiny in life, the rudiment principles in our cultures reflects how we carry ourselves in regard to other people. And that is why language forms a significant foundation in regard to the degree we remain obedience to our innate racial and cultural differences.
