As a legislative aide to the US Representative in my home district I would advise my boss to vote yes to the proposed piece of legislation concerning the establishment of DNA sample database of violent offenders which is intended to be helpful to the law enforcement agencies across the nation in investigating violent crimes. I would advise my boss to vote yes because in one way the establishment of DNA sample database will help to get violent crime offenders who have not yet been caught. It will also help to reduce crime in the area because people will not like to be involved in crime publicly. People who were thinking to get involved into criminal activities will fear from being caught and thus crime will reduce because it will hinder them from committing crime. At the same time no one would want to be known as a criminal would to the public and thus identified as criminal publicly. It therefore becomes easy to combat crime in the district.

The establishment of DNA sample database will also help to establish the violent criminals in the area and it thus be simple to punish them as per according to the law. When violent criminals are caught and punished according to the law there is likelihood that they will change their behavior and end being helpful people in the society. They may also turn into community educators where they can educate other people in the district on the dangers of being involved in criminal activities. When DNA samples database of violent criminals have been established it will also be easier to monitor the criminals and know their moves at all times. This will be of great help to the whole community living in the district because the violent criminals will fear to commit other crimes because they are already known.

My home district is rural and it is therefore an area where people struggle in order to provide for themselves. They do odd jobs and work for long hours so as to have their basic needs.  The issue of violent criminals has been a concern to them because they have been widely affected. They have been bitter for along time because they feel that they are robbed their hard earned living and it has come to point that they cannot be able to make a living because what they get from what they do is taken by the violent criminals. I therefore feel as a legislative aide to the US Representative in my district I have a responsibility to give the residents a peaceful place where they can be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

There is a high rate of crime in my district and the fact that they get their wealth through a lot of hard work it gives me the confidence to advise the boss to vote yes to the proposed establishment of DNA sample database. I have the confidence that the residents of the district will support the program because of the benefits it will accrue to them after it is established successfully. The high rate of crimes in my home district is driven by poverty. I therefore feel that the residents of the district would also require the issue of poverty to be addressed. When the criminals are caught and those who were about to commit violent crimes are deterred and the two groups turn into helpful people in the society poverty will also reduce because everyone will be trying hard to make a living and it will be easy because there will be no crime. This way the standard of living will be improved in the district.

I also feel that the government actors such as the president and courts as well as non governmental actors such as interest groups and research organizations will favor the establishment of DNA sample database. The government actors will support its establishment because it has been very hard and also very expensive to catch violent criminals and punish them according to the law. It has also been very hard for them to combat crime in the nation. They will therefore feel by establishing the DNA sample database their work would be made easier it will be easy to combat crime in the nation.  They will also see that it will be easy for them to monitor the criminals because some of them do not reform even after being punished according to the law. The government actors will therefore feel that it will be easier for them to monitor the moves of the violent criminals. They will also feel that the establishment will reduce crime rate in whole nation.

The non governmental actors may support the establishment of the DNA sample database because twill help reduce crime and also hinders others from committing crime because they do not want to be identified publicly as criminals. At the same time they may also not favor the establishment of the DNA sample database because they feel that the personal freedom of the criminals will be violated. There are therefore some which will favor its establishment and others which will not favor it.
